You need to see Cara Delevingne with a sky-high spiky rainbow mullet

Where do we even begin with this look? Teal, lime, copper, fuchsia, red, black; there are at least six colours involved. Am I talking about a maximalist outfit? No. I’m talking about Cara Delevingne‘s hair on Thursday night.

Honestly, the more you look the more you see, and that’s a lot as you won’t be able to look away. Throwing out every rule book, this style has stripes, patches, and even leopard print on what is either a shaven or faux-shaven scalp.

There are grown-out curtain bangs, there are long mullet tendrils around the back hairline, but most striking of all are the Mohican-like spikes standing straight up in the air in a shade of lime green that makes it impossible not to compare her to a cockatoo. I’m here for it.

Just look at it from the back, this really is a spectacular spectacular. An honourable mention must also go to Adwoa Aboah’s braid loops, certainly less out there but also a visual statement.

The gals were part of the sea of A-listers at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London for Vogue World last night, celebrating British theatre and fashion, and our favourite photo of the night may just be this one of Cara with Emily Ratajkowski.

It’s very much giving a ‘when you and your friend don’t discuss what you’re wearing’ meme.

Chester County Prison escape: Danelo Cavalcante sighted 1.5 miles away

POCOPSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) — Residents near the Chester County Prison are being asked to lock their doors and stay inside due to a heavy police presence in the area – as the search for escaped inmate Danelo Cavalcante continues into a third day.

Cavalcante, who authorities said escaped Thursday morning, was convicted of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Deborah Brandao.

Officials said at a news conference Saturday they continue to believe Cavalcante has not gotten more than 1 to 2 miles away from the prison, and are closing in on him.

Because of the ongoing search, Longwood Gardens closed on Saturday as a precaution.

However, officials worry the escapee may try to break into a home, especially if the owner is away for the Labor Day weekend.

At about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, he was seen on a residential surveillance camera the 1800 block of Lenape Road in Pocopson Township, about 1.5 miles from where the prison is located, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

The office released surveillance video filmed about one hour later that they say shows Cavalcante. In the video, filmed on a Eufy surveillance camera, a man can be seen walking through a yard next to a wooded area.

Police were also told of an attempted burglary Friday night on the 1000 block of Ballintree Lane. A homeowner there confronted a man fitting Cavalcante’s description, District Attorney Deb Ryan said at the news conference.

“Look in your basements, look around your areas, check your cars. Make sure that things are locked,” Ryan said.

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark said residents need to be vigilant. No one should approach Cavalcante, but securing your property is paramount.

“They need to be conscious of things such as someone’s been in their shed, or they’re missing a bike, or a door’s open that…

Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission Commemorates 10-Year U.S. DOJ Partnership

Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 25th Navajo Nation Speaker Crystalyne Curley and Office of the Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission Executive Director Leonard Gorman met with U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke to commemorate a 10-year partnership with the Civil Rights Division’s Indian Working Group in Washington, D.C.

In 2013, the Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Civil Rights Division’s Indian Working Group to foster communication and coordination to encourage the effective enforcement of the federal civil rights laws regarding citizens of the Navajo Nation.

“The MOU created a communication process that ensured that violations of civil rights of a Navajo Nation citizen are brought to the Civil Rights Division’s Indian Working Group, which assisted in identifying issues, referring, coordinating, supporting and monitoring enforcement and outreach,” said Speaker Curley. “For far too long, Native Americans have experienced discrimination and injustice, and the MOU helped to close the communication gap between tribal and federal agencies.”

“For years, Navajo families were confronted with a maze of bureaucracy and injustices that staminate any opportunity to address their issues, let alone closures for them,” said Director Gorman. “Through the MOU with the Indian Working Group, collectively, we have demonstrated that problems can be resolved and progress can be made on behalf of Navajo families and communities. We worked closely with the working group concerning race discrimination in voting rights, education, consumerism, and others. We look forward to many more years of working with the Indian Working Group.”

The Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission was established to operate as a clearinghouse to address discriminatory actions against citizens of the Navajo Nation. The Commission also receives reports…

Powerful storms lead to widespread outages, early fair closure

Powerful thunderstorms swept across the central and northeastern regions of Pennsylvania on Thursday, strewing debris in their wake and leaving tens of thousands of people powerless, including several thousand in our region.

The Luzerne County Fair in Dallas closed early for the night “due to damage from the recent storm and a power outage,” a post on the fair’s Facebook page said. The fair is expected to reopen on Friday.

“We’re currently trying to restore power on the fairgrounds and we are actively cleaning up debris after today’s storm that significantly displaced many of our vendors,” the post said. “What a storm it was.”

The storms also caused darkness to descend on the area hours before sundown, with cars turning their headline on before 5 p.m. amid the downpours.

Fallen trees brought down powerlines in several areas, notably along Main Street in Nanticoke.

As of 5 p.m., PPL and UGI reported thousands of outages in NEPA and other parts of their coverage areas elsewhere in Pennsylvania. According to our newsgathering partners at WBRE/WYOU, more than 15,000 people were left without power statewide.

Search continues for escaped convict Danelo Cavalcante

POCOPSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Officials in Chester County announced their search for escaped convict, Danelo Cavalcante was ongoing Sunday afternoon. In the announcement, they stated they have beefed up search with additional law enforcement personnel on the ground, along with the already hundreds in search for Cavalcante.
