Camden Catholic takes District 27
The Camden Catholic wrestling team won seven weights on the way to a convincing victory at the District 27 wrestling tournament.

CHERRY HILL – It was a long day – but in a good way – for Lenape’s Trey Friedman.
The Lenape junior made a return trip to the Al DiBartolomeo Gymnasium for the District 27 tournament.
To say the least, it went better than his last postseason visit.
“Last year we had regions – I was busting his chops before the beginning of this,” Lenape coach Chris Easlick said. “He went 0-1 at regions and only wrestled 23 seconds of it. This year was different. I’m very proud of him.”
Friedman ran afoul of Kurt Wehner of Toms River East, who only needed that long to pin him on the way to a third-place showing and a berth in the state tournament.
Saturday it was Friedman who was moving on – after topping the podium at 113 pounds at the NJSIAA District 27 wrestling championships at Cherry Hill High School East.
Friedman and senior 190-pounder Kevin Langlois won their weights for the Indians, who moved six wrestlers into next weekend’s Region 7 tournament at Moorestown High School and placed third in…
