Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority has released operating results for its fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2024, with a big jump in net revenue as the headline grabber. According to the report, Mohegan saw its second highest quarterly net revenue in company history, up 12% year over year. Mohegan Digital net revenue was up $60.1 million year over year.
The Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in South Korea, which opened in March 2024, generated net revenue of $62.2 million.
Mohegan INSPIRE, located at Incheon International Airport in Yeongjong Island, South Korea, features three hotel towers, totaling 1,275 rooms, a 15,000-seat multi-purpose arena, an indoor water park, an outdoor entertainment park, and a casino exclusive for foreigners, as well as shopping, dining and entertainment.
According to reporting, Mohegan is seeking to refinance debt incurred with the construction of INSPIRE, a $1.7 billion resort, to stave off a default.
As well as INSPIRE, Mohegan’s U.S. properties include resorts in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Jersey, and Washington. Mohegan also operates Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls.
“It’s been 30 years since the Mohegan Tribe was granted federal recognition in 1994, and in that time since we opened the Mohegan Sun here in Connecticut, we have transformed Mohegan from a regional, single casino, into one of the premier global integrated omni-channel resort operators,” said Raymond Pineault, Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan. “This year marks the culmination of a number of important initiatives which enables us to build on these accomplishments and remain focused on executing our strategy.”
Net revenues in Q4 increased $54.3 million year over year to $497.7 million, primarily due to the continued growth of Mohegan Digital and revenue from INSPIRE. Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA of $81.3 million for Q4 decreased $6.8 million compared with the prior-year period.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced Founded By NYC, a year-long initiative to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the city’s founding.
Launched on New Years Eve, the celebration aims to showcase the creativity, resilience and diversity that have defined the city over the centuries. In partnership with NYC Tourism + Conventions, the program will honor New York’s history while spotlighting the voices of marginalized communities, including Indigenous people, women and people of color.
“For four centuries, history has happened here,” said Adams. “And in 2025, through our ‘Founded By NYC’ campaign, we will celebrate all those who came here from around the world over those 400 years to build our great city — the New Yorkers whose vibrant culture, innovation, and abilities continue to make us the envy of the world today.
The mayor said the city’s history has not been without its challenges, and that the story of New York City began a millennia ago, long before the Dutch arrived, This land was inhabited by the Lenape people, Adams said.
The mayor emphasized the importance of recognizing the complex and diverse history of the city, stating, “To properly recognize our city’s complex, diverse and unparalleled history, we must also acknowledge the painful parts of its origin, and ensure we are celebrating the Lenape’s rich contributions to our city as much as anyone else’s. The story of New York City is one of perseverance and triumph, and, in 2025, we will show the world why we are the greatest city in the world.”

TAHLEQUAH, OK – A new report is highlighting the many successes of the Cherokee Nation’s $7 million Community Partners Grants, which were distributed to nearly 270 applicants across the reservation between 2022 and 2024.
Cherokee Nation provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funds to entities in each of the Cherokee Nation reservation’s 14 counties and in at-large Cherokee communities over about a two-year period, providing funds to applicants ranging from community-based non-profits to senior citizen organizations and youth league organizations, and from food banks to schools and local governments.
“The impact of our recent Community Partners Grants can be seen across our reservation, with new projects and investments that will benefit the quality of life for all who live in and visit our communities,” said Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. “These nearly 270 entities serve so many people, including thousands of Cherokee families. Their work is important to our daily lives, so I am proud to see this $7 million investment will have a generational impact.”
A few of the projects that received funding include:
- Pryor Rec Center – $55,000 for increasing access to wellness initiatives

Seneca High School is seeking nominations for its Academic Hall of Fame, which honors the outstanding accomplishments of Seneca alumni, former staff members, and supporters.
The deadline for nominations is Jan. 31. The Seneca Academic Hall of Fame selection committee will review all nominations and select a class of inductees by March 28.
The next class will be inducted at a ceremony at Seneca High School on Tuesday, June 3.
Inductees will be selected based on at least one of the following criteria: job related achievements, professional honors and awards, professional affiliations and publications, civic or community involvement, personal achievements and accomplishments, positive impact on the communities in the Lenape Regional High School District, humanitarian actions and other appropriate qualifications.
Alumni nominees are first eligible for selection 10 calendar years following graduation (2015 or earlier). Former staff of Seneca High School can also be nominated for actions and achievements on behalf of the Lenape Regional High School District that merit recognition.
Seneca’s Academic Hall of Fame recipients exemplify a high level of personal achievement, make significant contributions to their careers and communities, and serve as positive examples of social-emotional growth and character. Inductees’ names will be permanently displayed on a plaque at Seneca High School alongside other distinguished alumni as an example and incentive to generations of current and future Seneca High School students.
Anyone may submit an online nomination form. The nomination form can be found at https://seneca.lrhsd.org/academic-hof. Hard copies of the nomination form can also be obtained at Seneca’s main office.
