During game 2 of the Indiana Fever’s WNBA playoffs series against the Connecticut Sun, Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and former Connecticut Sun standout DeWanna Bonner got into a feisty physical exchange.

Clark took a three-point shot while being guarded by Bonner just a few minutes into the game. Clark missed the shot but thought Bonner fouled her when she attempted to land.

As a result, Clark began complaining to the referee. Bonner didn’t seem to appreciate this, as she began chirping at Clark; to which the rookie responded by shoving Bonner, which the veteran responded to by swiping Clark’s arm away from her.

The Sun ultimately won the game and the series. However, Bonner has also recently joined the Indiana Fever in free agency.

During her introductory press conference with the Fever on February 10, Bonner was asked directly about this physical exchange with Clark (while Clark was listening to her from a few feet away).

“I’m glad you asked that question because my inbox has been going crazy about that moment. But I think it’s just two competitive players that want to win and push to get over the finish line. It’s playoffs, so emotions are high, tensions are high,” Bonner said about this exchange after being asked about it directly by The Athletic staff writer James Boyd.

“But I couldn’t be more excited to step on the court with Caitlin. We actually had a great workout this morning, and I think we just feed well off of each other,” Bonner continued. “So I’m just here to hopefully give my little leadership advice, I don’t think I need to push her to be any type of player…

Dates have been announced for May and August

Alice Cooper is expanding his 2025 Too Close for Comfort Tour through the summer. The shock rocker adds dates for May and August throughout the country with stops in Huntsville, Milwaukee, Atlantic City, St. Louis, and others.

Pre-sale tickets and VIP Packages are available starting tomorrow (Tues, Feb 11th) at 10 am with code SICKTHINGS. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 14th.

Guitarist Gilby Clarke will be featured through February 16th, replacing Nita Strauss, who has conflicting obligations. Previously, guitarist Orianthi had been planning to replace Strauss, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she isn’t able to do the tour.

Nita Strauss will return for the spring and summer shows, including May 9th at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, the Boardwalk Rock Festival in Ocean City, Maryland on May 18th, and August 15th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Lincoln Financial Field with My Chemical Romance.

UNCASVILLE, CT – On Saturday, February 15, Ricky de los Santos (12-1, 3 KOs) defends his WBC US Silver Featherweight Title against unbeaten New England Super Featherweight & Lightweight Champion“King” Kevin Walsh (15-0, 8 KOs).

The pair collide on CES Boxing’s massive ‘Love & War’ card taking place at Mohegan Sun Arena and broadcast live globally on DAZN.  Tickets on sale now at CESFights.com, TicketMaster or the Mohegan Sun Arena box office.

At first glance, the fighters have much in common: they have emerged as the top 2 featherweights in the northeast US, each coming off the biggest win of their respective careers last year at Mohegan Sun Arena. 

De los Santos won the WBC title against Nathan Martinez via unanimous decision in February, while Walsh dispatched of Irvin Gonzalez in 4 rounds to pick up the New England Super Featherweight title in November.  They also proudly represent the fighting New England cities of Brockton, MA (Walsh) and Pawtucket, RI (de los Santos). 

The pugilists recently sat down with The Final Bell podcast to discuss a showdown that many believe will steal the show on Saturday night.  They showed mutual respect and acknowledged the other’s strengths, but with emotions running high, they also traded a few barbs.

“He’s a tough fighter,” said Walsh when assessing de los Santos.  “He’s fast, he’s got skills and good footwork.  I’m looking forward to the challenge.  These are the moments I live for.”

Walsh had a late start in boxing.  The 32-year-old turned pro in 2021 and reeled off 15 victories in only 4 years.  2024 was his best year to date, as the Brockton native fought 5 times and won 2 titles.  With each outing, Walsh steadily increased his level of opposition and showed marked improvement, something that’s not lost on de los Santos.

Julian Lane is aging like a fine wine.

“You ain’t lying,” the battle-tested Lane says with a laugh. “I tell myself that almost every day.”

A true pioneer of bare knuckle fighting, Lane made his promotional debut at BKFC 4 in 2019. Classic battles with iconic fighters like “Platinum” Mike Perry, David “Redneck” Mundell and Thiago “Pitbull” Alves made Lane an instant favorite in the Squared Circle. Although always tenacious and exciting to BKFC fans, Lane struggled to string wins together earlier in his bare knuckle fighting career.

Now, five years since his BKFC debut, the 37-year-old Mansfield, OH product brings an impressive three-fight winning streak into his Main Event showdown with Cameron VanCamp on Saturday, LIVE globally on DAZN from the legendary Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.

The biggest reason for Lane’s recent surge up the rankings, he says, is maturity.

“Less fun and more work,” he offers, smiling. “I’ve been taking my training very seriously. Training harder and just going with the flow, man.”

Lane is in awe of BKFC’s growth in recent years. Hot on the heels of the biggest event in BKFC history — KnuckleMania V on Saturday at the sold-out Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia — he’s eager to steal the show at Mohegan Sun. It’s a crucial step in his mission to win the BKFC World Welterweight Championship in 2025.

Lane’s journey hasn’t been easy. He says that fact will make his title reign that much sweeter.

“That’s always been my goal. Every time I fight, I always want to be the best in the world. With what I’ve been through — the ups and the downs — this will show people that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and you work hard,” Lane says.

Four goals by forward Ville Koivunen led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 9-0 rout of the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Koivunen tied Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s single-game record for goals. His predecessors:

• Erik Christensen — Oct. 5, 2005 (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 8, Bridgeport Sound Tigers 1)

• J.F. Jacques — Feb. 16, 2007 (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 7, Binghamton Senators 0)

• Oskar Sundvist — Dec. 10, 2016 (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 6, Hershey Bears 2)

• Boris Katchouk – Dec. 11, 2024 (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 6, Charlotte Checkers 4)

Forward Vasily Ponomarev recorded a hat trick in Wednesday’s game as well while defenseman Filip Kral led all scorers with five points (one goal, four assists) for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (23-10-4-0), which has won three consecutive games.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 27 saves to record his first career shutout at the American Hockey League level and boosted his record to 4-0-0.

The result allowed the Penguins to set a franchise record for greatest margin of victory and set a single-season high for hat tricks with seven. Additionally, it marked the first time in franchise history the team had a pair of hat tricks in the same game.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Checkers on Friday, 7 p.m.
