The new date at Mohegan Sun is Friday, April 12, 2024.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have a new date for their postponed show at Mohegan Sun.

The band announced Friday the rescheduled tour dates for the postponed 2023 concerts. They will perform shows in March and April before resuming their original tour in August and September.

The new date at Mohegan Sun is Friday, April 12, 2024.

In late September, Springsteen and his band had to postpone a string of their 2023 tour dates so that the 74-year-old singer could continue treatment for peptic ulcer disease symptoms. One of those dates was in Connecticut.

Upon canceling the remainder of his 2023 tour, Springsteen issued a statement saying that he was recovering and would continue treatment through the end of the year on his doctor’s advice.

“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support,” he added. “I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Here is the band’s new schedule – sans Canadian dates, which will get announced soon.

BOSTON – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced their rescheduled tour dates for 2024.

Springsteen originally postponed the rest of his shows from 2023 so he could be treated for peptic ulcer disease. The dates included shows in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Albany, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Washington, DC, as well as a concert at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s postponed U.S. tour dates have been rescheduled and announced for 2024:

March 19 – Phoenix, AZ @ Footprint Center (rescheduled from Nov. 30, 2023)

March 25 – San Diego, CA @ Pechanga Arena (rescheduled from Dec. 2, 2023)

The show at Mohegan Sun was originally scheduled for Sept. 16 and has now been rescheduled for April 12, 2024. Springsteen and the E Street Band played two shows at Gillette Stadium in August.

All tickets for the postponed shows remain valid and Springsteen’s social media posts said ticket holders should contact the official ticketing company if they need a refund.

2. United Way of Southeastern CT: This organization is invested in local health and human service programs and initiatives that work together to provide a safety net for New London County.
3. Healing With Horses: This nonprofit rescue horse farm provides equine-assisted therapy programs for people facing challenges. They have several program options, including Discovery of Horses, which offers lessons on horse safety, grooming/interaction and Say Whoa to Bullying, which is a program to empower victims of bullying. 4. Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut: Serving Montville and surrounding communities, this organization is dedicated to providing homes for families. MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. (TND) — A woman at a New York Walmart store is going viral after slapping a state trooper who proceeded to pin her to the ground while she cried “Walmart is racist,” a video circulating social media shows.

In the video, the woman is seen arguing with the state trooper at a Westchester County, N.Y. Walmart and encouraging him to “drag” her out of the store. She then begins throwing merchandise at the trooper, who subsequently tries to restrain her.

When the officer tries restraining her, the woman turns around and begins hitting the officer, going as far as to slap him in the face and knock his glasses off of his head.

The trooper begins to wrestle the woman to the ground, at which point she starts screaming “Walmart is racist” repeatedly.

New York State Police told The National Desk (TND) the incident occurred on October 2 shortly after 6:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call by the Walmart store. Despite claims on social media, police say the incident did not involve shoplifting and the woman in question was experiencing “a mental health issue.”

Police told TND the woman was taken to a local hospital after the scuffle, but cited the fact that federal law limits how much police can disclose when referencing a mental health issue.

Walmart did not provide comment on the incident, instead referring TND to authorities.

The dust-up in New York is the latest in a series of altercations at retail stores that have gone viral on social media. Earlier this year, a video of California 7-Eleven workers defending their store from a robber gained widespread attention on social media. The local district attorney later announced the employees seen defending their merchandise would not be charged.

The destination property will feature three five-star hotels, Korea’s first 15,000-seat arena, a 127,000 sq. ft. conference facility, and 400,000 sq. ft. of retail space, as well as a major casino managed by Mohegan, a leading U.S. based entertainment, gaming, and hospitality company. A plea by former US President Donald Trump was rejected Wednesday by Judge Tanya Chutkan asking her to recuse herself from overseeing the case of the Republican presidential forerunner concerning blocking the election results of 2020 and deliberations to remain in the Oval Office after suffering a defeat from Democrat Joe Biden.

“Recusal motions served a vital purpose, justice also demands that judges not recuse without cause,” wrote Judge Tanya Chutkan Wednesday.

She further stated pointing to a prior court decision, that recusal motions can be “a procedural weapon to harass opponents and delay proceedings.”

“Motions for recusal could also be wrongfully deployed as a form of ‘judge shopping,'” Chutkan wrote.

Weeks earlier, the four-time criminally indicted former president filed a motion through his lawyers maintaining that District Judge Tanya Chutkan should be removed from his case as her past statements show clear bias against the Republican forerunner.

“The defence interprets the court’s verbal reiteration of Palmer and Priola’s arguments about their relative culpability as ‘suggest[ing]’ a secret core view about Defendant’s criminality….That inferential leap is not reasonable in light of the relevant facts, record, and law,” the judge wrote.

“The court was legally bound to not only privately consider those arguments, but also to publicly assess them.”

Chutkan also noted she had never made any comments on Trump’s culpability — noting it was his own attorneys who leaped to that conclusion.

Judge Chutkan is to preside over the case regarding Trump’s involvement in subverting 2020 election results and the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill riots.
